Always be sure to know and safely practice firearms safety at all times, being careful to stay aware of all applicable laws in your state, province, or country. Never point a firearm at any thing you don't intend to destroy. Never handle a firearm without checking it for live ammunition first.
Brouwer Solutions M1811 Grip Module - GAME CHANGER
Also including some footage of other mods on the Ole M18 including the DPM systems recoil reduction kit!
*You'll notice some differences in grip during those comparisons, but you'll just have to trust me that the DPM system made the recoil more manageable. I don't want to give the wrong impression. The standard recoil impulse was VERY manageable. However, the factory grip just didn't assist me in getting that standard "combat" grip.

Here's my review of my Taurus Gx4 Carry after 1000 rounds - we'll conduct a review based on my positives and negative experiences, my overall opinion and experience. We will absolutely ask a couple of questions: 1) is this gun worth what I paid for it? and 2) is it something I'd carry for self protection?

I was thinking about getting a new 1911, but wasn't sure what to go with. I had spent a lot of time and money modifying my Colt Combat Commander, which cost over 1000 USD. I think that it's a much smarted idea to get into something that is cheaper, less-collectible, and would not be a tragedy if it became a 350.00 paperweight. Tisas makes forged frame/slide guns that can fit the bill perfectly....

The original Roland Special Glock inspired(s) an entire style of handgun that gives shooters accuracy and effectiveness past 50 yards where a submachine gun would be too conspicuous to carry and a compact/duty pistol might not yield the accuracy necessary to get life-saving hits on target. I don’t know why this doesn’t have more views. This video has sold me on buying a the M1811 frame for my M17. Man. Now I wanna dump so much money into my M17.
We like that grip
You need to polish up on your grip
@@Miketheneck i have a unique 1911 grip that offers from my other grip.
👍👍😊😊 VERYGOOD I from THAILAND 🇨🇷 patlung
I like the color is more as original grip. The WC is little lighter FDE color. I was jus plan on switching out the factory grip
Maybe the sights are over so far for you is because you are using your left eye to focus not you right one! as I can see in the video. I have one and love it. I recommend it completely. Here I am shooting mine at about 17 yards at a metal tree. not missing one shot. this is a new gun i just sighted in and am not really use to the trigger yet. ua-cam.com/users/shorts6ugJxBl94Ho?si=UpOocZH7PaqA9TB3
@woodknack1 that's Jonathan shooting as well. He's a left handed/ right handed shooter. He's just adapted over the years. He reproduce the problem, though

I don’t know if you want to send it in to Taurus I sent my gx4 carry in few months ago because my front sight screw wasn’t centered so I couldn’t get it out and I’m still waiting for it…
Work on your grip!
350 for the Toro model. Its a great gun, in fact its becoming one of my favorites.
Dude in the back is gonna fall down if he leans back any further lol
Got mine a couple months ago for $299! Absolutely love it!
Beautiful shooting pistol. Weight is not practical for where I live and what I must wear for my EDC needs.
I recently purchased one of these and can honestly say that I'm nothing short of totally impressed with it. After about 500 rds with zero malfunctions and great accuracy, I would put it in the same class as my Glocks for much less money... time will tell as far as durability. Great video. PS...I bought it brand new for $300.00
GX4 carry in .38tpc ?
I'm wondering if they would make that for the BDM. I doubt it will ever see daylight in the US
@@iamnitrox Traduzir textos com a câmera The .38tpc would serve as a competition caliber in 9mm weapons
My Gx4 Carry is my edc over my g48. When I 1st got the glock, I had to send it back to glock for off-center light primer strikes, and it was having issues feeding. Haven't had an issue with the Glock since I got it back but I have never had an issue with the gx4
My GX4 is really reliable. I was disappointed with the sights issue, but I'm getting over it.
This vid also covers why one shouldn't hand feed the first round in ANY 1911 ua-cam.com/video/LJdsSJsNKU8/v-deo.htmlsi=f0OtATA6i-QBy4RS
I prefer a manual safety. I like options.
I wasn't open to it at first, but when I thought of this like a 2011, it made sense to me.
My rear sight drifts to the left when I shoot. I plan to replace with some aftermarket sights . Any suggestions?
I had this issue with the gx4 as well. I just through some back up glock sites on there and I was good to go.
I grabbed the fiber optic set from Lakeline LLC. You can use anything that is set up for the G43x on the GX4 carry. The only thing I had to buy was a front sight removal tool and a nylon punch to get the rear sights drifted on.
I have to say I love my gx4carry with red dot ..I own maybe 7-8 carry guns its now the most carried by miles ..with a lake line ported barrel ..its amazing and its a Taurus
By the way I'm at 1100 rds no issues and red dot is running well from ceylee .. The sole guns 500-570 that's with dot and ported barrel
Got one on the way in Sniper Green 💚💥!!
Had original GX4 and Hellcat Pro for a year but got the Carry last month for only $329 at Great Lakes Outdoor Supply. I love it like I loved no other pistol.
I notice that the Hellcat Pro transferred the energy in my hand in such a way that it kind of hurt. The GX4 is SO much softer shooting.
11:44 Taurus website has slides for $150 swap barrel & Recoil theirs beating out PSA on that end in Price. Not Sales. Gotta respect that. TAURUS is now!
6:35 Character marks 😂😂😂❤ i did the same with the pusher 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
3:37 That's tooling marks. I had 3 of them so far. Some come more clean & shiny you can Polish it up. I might 1 day. I LOVE the GX4'S 👑
Just got one for $299 at Sportsmans
$232 family firearms
Yeah I think the point I wanted to make was that it was STILL a good value at total full price. Once you consider it's much cheaper at alot of other places, it almost becomes a no-brainer to have one, or several.
Just ordered me one today!
Subcompact the gx4 is micro compact. Great gun. I also the xl model love that also
What kind of front and rear sights you got on yours?
These are the Taurus tritium front sight and the lakeline rear fiber optic
Great review I just picked one up a few days ago wish I would’ve got the optics ready version!
I think it's worth it for the resale value alone
Great video
We should start calling these guns value guns instead of budget guns....
I love the looks of this gun!
Just got mine and get to pick it up tomorrow . I grabbed me a Green Taurus Gx4 Carry and a Burnt Bronze Canik Mete MC9 excited to go try them out !
I think you're gonna love it!
Wow! I thought my Henry was nice (well, ok - it is actually a really nice rifle) but I think you got more than your money's worth here. I'm so glad that Ruger has done such a good job with the Marlins.
Pull the trigger with the pad of your finger not the crease. It isnt a revolver. Hold the safety down with your thumb as if it was a recoil mitigation device. Learn to operate the trigger and break in the safety. Yes the right side will go up. If youre still having trouble after 1k rounds, hit it with your purse.
I have an odd grip with my 1911s. I get comments here and there. It's been the process of alot of trial and error with the SA triggers and the size of my hands.
It's as old as me!
Nice guns!
Great review, I am on the fence for a combat commander just having a 9mm vs .45 issue in my own head. Has this thing been 100% reliable. I have the competition pistol in 5” in 9mm and gave zero problems with that configuration. How does the 4.25 ‘ system do with 9mm
Once broken in, it's been 99% reliable. Colt mag was no good.colt recoil ass'y is most reliable. Pistol is pretty loose, so reliability has been good. Mine's completely built now, though.
@@iamnitrox good stuff, I run mecgar mags in my colt competition pistol with 100% reliability. Thanks for sharing and answering the questions. You’ve helped me determine my next purchase will be this Colt combat commander. Thanks again.

Oh and you really need some instruction for shooting a handgun.
Oh really? Lol thanks for the tip.
Does that fit a standard holster?
Preis??
I agree with you Sir!!
That thing looks awesome ngl.
If you were to choose today, would you still choose the MK9 over the PM9? I’m trying to decide between the two. I do prefer the stainless steel mk9, but it’s almost double the weight of the PM9. Your thoughts would be appreciated and thanks in advance.
To be honest, I haven't shot both back to back. I think that if you don't mind the weight, the MK9 is great. It can be picky with ammo, however. You might want to use tipped ammo (critical defense or similar). I'd honestly choose the PM9, though as the MK9 weight was so high for it's limited capacity.
nice. you make me want to pull mine out of the safe. thank you.
Those grips are actually g10 and are made by VZ. Great quality.
Had one of these Speed Six's some 30 years ago and traded up to a Colt Government Model 1911. Today I wonder if it was Really trading up......
